Tips for Making an Impression

Personalization is what you do best. It's the foundation of your business, but are you missing the boat with decorating limitations? If you're interested in finding new ways to increase your sales and help your customers increase their visibility then it's as simple as adding heat transfer designs to your portfolio.

Today's digital technology makes it easy to create logo apparel and add personalization to just about anything. This week, Promotional Consultant Today is introducing you to a technique you may not be as familiar with - heat printing. Yesterday, we looked at headwear. Today we'll examine heat printing on nylon bags.

Get Carried Away

Bags are a wonderful add-on accessory. Handbags and backpacks can add to a group's uniformity. There are so many designs within the industry that suggesting a bag for a client should be pretty easy. Decorating the bag can be the challenge.

In this case, we'll focus on nylon bags. Printing on nylon is always a challenge. It often requires special inks to ensure that the design adheres, does not crack and the ink doesn't bleed or migrate across the bag.

Digital transfers when applied with a heat press offer a permanent adhesion. They are very durable and will not peel, crack or fade. Also, the process allows for the creation of extremely fine details. There are no limits on color and no per color fees either.

A great way to increase sales is to heat print your customer's logo or artwork on a sample backpack or bag and let your customer see how great their logo looks. Since there are no quantity minimums on digital transfers, creating one-offs and taking a sample to a client is a wonderful way to provide quality service and develop a strong, long term relationship.
